Most of the time when we use overlays of Globe Glasses or Bubbles the edges of the final globe is full of jaggies - extra, unwanted pixels. Using Selection/Modify/Contract helps; feathering helps. Nothing works as well as Evonne's extra step which is simply drawing a circle on top of the globe glass!

I chose a digital photograph image of Shirley Tulips, provided by Barb Beck a.k.a. Yorkie Momma of Yorkie Lane Dot Com. Add a new raster layer, then place a bubble tube on it. I got this one from The Hood.

After using the mover tool to place the bubble where you want it, chose the selection tool, circle, antialias checked, and draw a circle INSIDE the bubble. Be careful not to let the circle extend beyond the edge of the bubble.

Now select Layers/Merge/Visible, then Edit/Copy, then paste into a new transparent blank image large enough for you to build your globe. Add your base and other decor as usual.

If you'd like to make this globe, here's Beck's Shirley Tulip photo. Right click on it and save it to your hard drive:

The base used is my gold base. Download it now .
