Fritz Schimpf 23 Marly 2018

Pelikan celebrates this year’s 180th anniversary having a fascinating pen,

the Pelikan Special Edition Spirit of 1838 fountain pen.

In line with the M1000 it provides a silver barrel,

an 18-K gold nib having a special engraving

and three little diamonds within the nest around the cap.

This pen is restricted to simply 180 pieces worlwide and includes

a cost tag of € 3.000.- such as the German VAT of 19%.

Possess a nice weekend.

Lovely collectable pen. Too wealthy in my bloodstream and just 180 of these.

Kodiac136 23 Marly 2018

Ahhh exactly what a lovely pen — sadly, greater than I’d ever pay though!

BillH 23 Marly 2018

Would like to see one personally, though I must spread owning one.

Wait 3 years before the next Depression, I bet you will get it NOS for half cost.

gmathio 23 Marly 2018

Beautiful pen, but so costly.

Beautiful pen, and can surely hold its value lengthy term because of the limited run. But at 3000 Euros, I could not even consider it. Even at 10% of this it might be beyond my budget. ($150 USD is my most costly up to now)

Thank you for discussing!

So uninspired and ugly. Especially that nib!

I see that which you did there.

that which you did there.

Well, it cannot be considered a MB LE — it’s relatively stylish! OTOH, it’s really kinda boring searching for something designed commemorate a momentous occasion like this.

Truthfully, even when I possibly could afford a pen that costly, I would not acquire one because that might be far too large and high for me personally (particularly if it’s sized as an M1000).

The actual question, obviously could be “What is the LE ink to choose the pen destined to be?” Silver gray, maybe? I’d certainly purchase a gray/silver Edelstein ink.

This is an absolutely beautiful pen having a stunning cost tag.

The very best that I have heard it stated is, and I am paraphrasing here, “180 years which is the very best they could develop?”

Agreed. The 3 diamonds would be the crowning touch.

Yeah. appears like a totally free promo pen in my experience with this writing around the barrel. And the like an unsophisticated font.
