Active@ DVD Eraser
Active@ DVD Eraser is a straightforward-to-use free software application to erase Blu-ray, DVD-RW, DVD+RW or CD-RW media to obvious that old data in the dvds.
Two erasing methods can be found:
- Quick Erase — The disc’s structures are altered on drive level to ensure that a drive sees the disc as blank media.
- Full Erase (Secure method) — The entire top of the disc has ended-written having a neutral pattern. As a result all information is now removed forever.
Automated erasing can also be supported.
To erase a DVD or CD media
Step One: Specify erasing options:
- Perform full-erase — the unit is initialized fully, requires a lengthy time. In Quick mode (choice is not selected), the unit is erased rapidly i.e., information is still around the media, only the File and Directory descriptor details are deleted.
- Eject media — after erasing is finished, media is ejected.
Step Two: Insert a re-writable DVD or CD in to the DVD-RW/CD-RW drive, verify Burner type (for those who have several burners) and speed, and click on the ERASE! button. Begin to see the progress. To cancel erasing you are able to close a credit card applicatoin.
Automation of media erasing process
Software accepts command line parameters to automate media erasing process:
/ERASE — erase process starts instantly immediately after this program launch.
/FULL — perform full-erase — the unit is initialized fully, requires a lengthy time.
/EJECT — after erasing is finished, media is ejected.
/EXIT-IF-OK — if erasing is effectively completed, program auto-exits. If errors detected – you will notice error messages around the dialog (no auto-exit).
