Pen Pierre cardin

Review – Pierre Cardin – Veer

December 27, 2019

This really is my first fountain pen review here on FPN and i’m grateful to any or all who’ve published reviews here earlier and demonstrated us exactly how to perform a pen review. I consider myself an entire novice with regards to fountain pens, so any omissions and mistakes within the review are entirely because of my insufficient understanding in this subject. Nevertheless, I’d play the role of honest and impartial while trying to review a pen. Should you require any addition details, don’t hesitate to inquire about me for the similar.

The pen that I will review today is Pierre Cardin Veer. It’s an affordable, plastic fountain pen on offer by Pierre Cardin in India. It’s available in five colors as proven below and that i could be reviewing the white-colored version. The pen is available in a blister pack with two free cartridges and that i required it when considering pictures of the identical (sorry L ). The term “

Veer” means “

The Brave” in Hindi, and therefore it appears this pen would need to prove a great deal to be able to justify its name.

1.Appearance & Design (Rating: 7 from 10)

The pen is very easy and unorthodox but there is not anything radical concerning the design. The style of this pen borrows heavily from Lamy Safari i.e. the uni-color plastic body, glossy finish and also the ink window. The variations listed here are the barrel, cap & grip are rounded and don’t have triangular contour lines such as the Lamy. Check your grip consists of black rubberized plastic with elevated lines and getting a matte finish. The clip is of metal having a glossy black paint finish into it. The top cap has got the Pierre Cardin Emblem, brand and also the word “

Paris” (nationality from the Mr. Cardin) printed onto it. Overall, within this cost range, the pen is alright and a few could even think it is type of awesome searching and inconspicuous.

2.Construction & Quality (Rating: 6 from 10)

Nothing great concerning the construction as a result however it appears like this pen may take multiple hits and falls, but still would live to create a later date. The look quality isn’t sufficient because the clip appears somewhat bent for the left. It’s not easy to correct this because the cut from the metal developing the clip appears to become reason of the flaw as opposed to the common imbalance factor. Even the clip appears to become missing the etched Pierre Cardin name and the style of the nib differs as proven within the advert.

3.Size and weight (Rating: 8 from 10)

The Pen is extremely light, falling within the group of the lightest ones that i’ve ever used. I don’t possess a scale beside me however this will not be greater than 30 grams by any means. The scale are as given below:

Length Capped: 13.4 cm

Length United nations-Capped: 12.4 cm

Length Published: 15.4 cm

Visible Nib Length: 17.5 mm

Cap Diameter: 13.5 mm

Barrel Diameter (Thickest): 12 mm

4.Nib and gratifaction (Rating: 8.5 from 10)

The nib consists of stainless and therefore there’s no flex within the nib. It’s “

Iridium Point Germany” etched onto it and that i like how a two etched lines run out of the feeder hole to create a V around the nib. The nib grade wasn’t pointed out around the packaging however it writes somewhat towards medium. The feed consists of plastic and incredibly generic in size and shape but does its work quite amicably. The pen writes very smooth and draws a clear neat line with no skipping or ink breaks. The only issue I confronted with it had been it skipped a little on the particular notebook (Camlin Top Quality Notebook) which i employed for the sample write-up however it was mainly because of the paper, because it is extra smooth along with other pens too had exactly the same problem onto it. I tested the pen on other paper and that i could not reproduce the issue.

5.Filling System (Rating: 8 from 10)

The pen includes two smaller cartridges and really should easily go ahead and take longer Parker cartridges too. I even managed to utilize a Camlin ripper tools within the pen, so standard converters too would clearly use it. Due to the ink window by using this pen being an eye dropper is totally unthinkable.

6.Cost and cost (Rating: 10 from 10)

The pen retails at Rs. 100 i.e. $1.70 roughly. Because of the straightforward design and also the nib performance I’d say it’s an absolute value-for-money pen. Furthermore, because of the fact you can purchase it in five peppy colors means you’ll have a multi-color pen arsenal available for as little as Rs. 500 ($8.5).

7.Conclusion (Final Rating: 7.nine out of ten)

I believe Pierre Cardin did a great job here and what they desire is proper marketing for this to get in sales. I additionally found a billboard video for you tube for the similar but haven’t seen it anywhere on television. This pen is sort of similar in cost to Jihao 599 which will come in India from ASA Pens for Rs. 175 ($3) as well as on eBay too.

Clearly this isn’t reasonably limited or perhaps a mid-range pen however it can typically be utilized as a regular driver should you write a great deal and wish something you may be completely careless with and even perhaps lend to buddies and colleagues -).

Pierre cardin continues to be putting his name on fountain pens because the mid 80’s. I’ve had several and they’re all very smooth authors. I’ve two within my collection now. One having a folded nib and yet another by having an IPG. Both of them are smooth wet medium points. The gold plating is putting on off around the older one (a university graduation gift in1997), as the other was polished by a fool worker from the store I purchased it at. This Veer looks interesting.

I too get one more pen by Pierre Cardin. Its known as Masterpiece – a in-costly Mont Blanc Meisterstuck lookalike – however a superb author. Would try to set up review for the similar too. Infact couple of in the past there have been lots of Pierre Carding fountain pens obtainable in India however you will find like only two-3 models and individuals too are difficult to find.

nice pics and review!

Many thanks. But thinking about all of the beautiful hands-writings I’ve come across within the Penmanship section, mine isn’t any much better than chicken scratch. I wish to learn proper Italic and Copperplate script but am still to locate good pens for the similar.

appreciate review, the abundance of images gives makes sense of the pen. It jogs my memory of some Sheaffer calligraphy pens which i available on Amazon . com, this set had three colorful pens plus cartridges in a number of colors. Speculate I don’t like Sheaffer’s cartridges I attempted a ripper tools, and as it turned out a typical worldwide ripper tools really works! That will suggest in my experience though the nipple on my small pens is not the additional wide diameter that Sheaffer used, and thus a Parker cartridge wouldn’t easily fit in the situation of the pen also, unless of course Parker in India markets a cartridge having a narrow mouth they’ll most likely unfit, because you say yours required a little (standard?) cartridge. This means you could possibly make use of a standard ripper tools, if that’s the case inclined.

Nice handwriting. That’s no chickenscratch! very legible and understated, and consistent within the page. And, you have made me interested in the Camlin notebook. I’ve attempted Indian-made paper before in most cases think it is good for fountainpens, and comparatively affordable.

Happy writing! I think you’ll can give us much more of your considered reviews.

BTW the feast upon your pen looks similar to that around the Sheaffer calligraphy (with no Nonsense) – equipped to handle a great flow!
